The world’s largest NBA theme park (NBA Park), co-operated by the American Professional Basketball League (NBA) and Brazil’s National Basketball Park, will open in Gramado, a mountain city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in November. Sérgio Perrella, vice president of licensing and retail for NBA Latin America, said in a statement to the media today that the theme park covers an area of more than 4,000 square meters and will serve as an NBA entertainment center, providing basketball fans with about 15 entertainment experiences.
According to CNN Brasil, the Gramado NBA theme park is a permanent NBA entertainment center located at 4795 Avenida das Hortências and is scheduled to open in November this year.
The theme park will provide basketball fans with photo opportunities, virtual reality experiences, themed restaurants, children’s area, official souvenir exhibition, partner launch area, NBA store, basketball court, interactive area, game station, shooting machine and NBA locker room, etc.
“The Gramado NBA Theme Park is one of the NBA’s most important projects in the world, a huge NBA entertainment center that will welcome kids, families, friends, fans of all ages, all year round,” Pereira said in a statement. Enjoy an amazing experience and connect more with basketball.”
Jonas Ortiz, CEO of Gramado NBA Theme Park, said that this is a very special project, with the largest NBA themed space in the world in Gramado, showing the huge potential of the city.
Gramado is the most important tourist destination in the mountainous region of Rio Grande do Sul (Serra Gaúcha) in southern Brazil. It is about 130 kilometers away from the capital, Port Pleasure. and rural buildings. The economy is focused on tourism and receives millions of domestic and foreign tourists every year
